Synopsis

The Vikings are often regarded as the greatest heroes of the Middle Ages, celebrated as adventurers, explorers, and conquerors. However, this interpretation raises the question of whether it is entirely justified. In fact, the Vikings left a darker and less well-known legacy: they were also ruthless slavers, human traffickers, and hostage-takers. *„Victims of the Vikings“* is the first television documentary to examine this infamous and often horrifying aspect of the Nordic warriors.
