Synopsis

Bea is a successful architect living in Barcelona, Catalonia, in northeast Spain, with her boyfriend and boss, Víctor, who is the CEO of a prominent company. During a night celebrating the signing of an important contract for a skyscraper designed by Bea, the famous TV reporter and anchorwoman Rebecca Ramos appears at the bar—Víctor's personal erotic fantasy. Under the influence of alcohol and without considering the consequences, Bea arranges a meeting between Víctor and Rebecca. The next day, Víctor proposes to Bea, and she accepts. However, upon arriving at work, Bea discovers a video of Víctor and Rebecca having sex in a car that is playing on all TV channels. During a full meeting with other CEOs, Bea slaps Víctor and destroys her design, leading to her being fired. Seeking a break, she returns to her coastal hometown, Santa Clara, only to find that her rest is not as easy as she had hoped: her eccentric, free-spirited, and ever-smiling mother awaits her there.
