In Love and War
“A war brought them together. Now it could separate them forever.”
Synopsis
After being released from an Italian prison, British officer Eric Newby attempts to escape Italy before the arrival of the Germans. Along the way, he is injured and left behind by his fellow soldiers. He is assisted by local Italians and meets Wanda, a local woman who helps him learn Italian in preparation for his escape. Their initial friendship gradually develops into a romance, but the presence of the Germans searching for Eric keeps them separated, leaving their future uncertain.
