In the Name of the People is a 1939 German crime film directed by Erich Engels. The film stars Rudolf Fernau, Fritz Kampers, and Rolf Weih in leading roles. It follows a crime-related storyline typical of the genre during that era. The film was produced at the Babelsberg Studios in Berlin and features set designs by art directors Hans Sohnle and Wilhelm Vorwerg. As a product of 1930s German cinema, it reflects the stylistic and thematic conventions of its time.
