Synopsis
"For Your Eyes Only," the fourteenth film in the James Bond series, was released in 1981 and directed by John Glen. It stars Roger Moore in his fourth and final appearance as the British secret agent, with co-stars including Lois Chiles, Timothy Dalton, and Caroline Bliss. The film was written by Richard Maibaum, Michael G. Wilson, and Bruce Feirstein, and produced by Cubby Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson under Eon Productions. The story follows Bond as he investigates the theft of a NATO encryption device, leading him on a global mission that includes a ski chase in the Swiss Alps and a tense underwater sequence in the Mediterranean. The film features the Bond theme composed by John Barry, with additional music by Eric Adams. Filming took place in various international locations, including Greece, Austria, and the United Kingdom. "For Your Eyes Only" received generally positive reviews and was a commercial success, grossing over $115 million worldwide. It is notable for being the last film in the series to feature Moore as Bond before Timothy Dalton took over the role in the next installment.
