Synopsis
In this documentary, director Antony Thomas explores the history and current state of Islam by delving into the Muslim world. He examines what the Quran says about topics such as equality, punishment, peace, other faiths, and suicide bombing. Like most religious texts, the Quran contains paradoxes that allow for a wide range of interpretations, which can be "used for ultimate grace or as an alibi for appalling acts and beliefs." Thomas investigates how the teachings of the Quran are being strategically used by nations and influential leaders to advance their political, cultural, and social agendas.
