Synopsis
This documentary embarks on a journey spanning 100,000 light-years to explore key moments in the history of the Milky Way. Utilizing cutting-edge science, National Geographic creates a 3-D CGI model of the galaxy. The film examines the heart of the Milky Way in search of super-massive black holes, observes the birth and death of stars, and travels above the galactic plane to reveal its true shape. It also explores the galaxy's spiral arms in search of potential signs of life.
