Synopsis

After experiencing a traumatic event that shatters her idealism, Kara moves across the country to attend a writing program in Los Angeles. She secures room and board with Charlie Fratelli, a quirky, cheerful woman who enjoys drinking wine and flirting with younger men. There, Kara meets Jason, a shy but eager student who is drawn to Kara but held back by his timid nature from making a move. Instead, Kara is swept off her feet by Paul Reese, an older, charismatic man and a conventional crime novelist, whose calm confidence quickly captivates her. Soon, it becomes apparent that those who have wronged Kara are beginning to meet violent ends, and she starts to question what she truly knows about Paul. With Jason's help, Kara attempts to uncover the truth—only to uncover a disturbing revelation.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 17

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
