Interrogation
Synopsis
In Stalinist Poland, cabaret singer Tonia spends an evening drinking with friends. The following morning she awakens as a political prisoner, though the reasons for her arrest are unclear to her. Prison officials interrogate, torture and humiliate her, while she strives to survive and maintain her innocence by refusing to sign a false confession. Over the years of imprisonment, her relationship with her captors becomes increasingly complicated.
