Synopsis
A 60-minute tribute to American International Pictures. Entertainment lawyer Samuel Z. Arkoff founded AIP (originally named American Releasing Corporation) in 1954 with a $3000 loan, partnering with James H. Nicholson, a former West Coast exhibitor and distributor. The company gained prominence by focusing on teenagers with rapidly produced films that explored themes mainstream films were hesitant to address.
