Synopsis
This site features the latest news and theories surrounding the 120-year-old global effort to identify the individual known as Jack the Ripper, who was responsible for the murders of five common prostitutes in the impoverished Whitechapel district of London's East End between 31 August 1888 and 9 November 1888. It explores whether the killer's identity might one day be uncovered through DNA or other as-yet-unrevealed evidence.
