Just Desserts

Marco Poloni's family owns a bakery in the Bronx, and they are facing financial difficulties, prompting them to consider selling it. To help save the business, Marco decides to enter a baking competition, hoping to win the prize money and gain publicity. He needs a partner and approaches Grace Carpenter, a baker at a restaurant, despite a rocky start; she eventually agrees to join him. As they prepare for the competition, things look promising, though challenges arise. One of the other contestants, Jacques du Jacques, is Marco's former classmate from the Academy, whom he accuses of betrayal. Emil, one of the judges, is Marco's former instructor at the Academy, a man Marco did not impress. Additionally, Marco's temper poses a challenge. Meanwhile, Marco begins to develop feelings for Grace, though she is already in a relationship.
