Synopsis
In the 1980s, Keith Haring made a significant impact on the galleries and nightclubs of downtown New York's art scene. Operating both within and beyond the traditional art world, Haring was influenced by the city's graffiti culture and used subways, tarpaulins, and walls as his canvases. A new feature documentary combines archival material and an energetic soundtrack with personal and candid accounts from those who knew Haring. The film chronicles the remarkable life and work of an artist whose boundless energy spanned the social, cultural, and political changes of the 1980s.
