King of Devil's Island
A defiant teen inmate plots to escape a brutal Norwegian reform school, igniting a violent uprising that forces the military to storm the island.
Synopsis
Set in the Norwegian winter of 1915, the story takes place on the island of Bastøy, located outside Oslo. A group of young boys, aged 11 to 18, are confined in an institution for delinquent youth, known for its harsh and cruel treatment. A new arrival, Erling, is determined to escape the island. Following a tragic incident, he becomes the leader of the boys in a violent rebellion. When the boys succeed in taking control of the island, 150 soldiers are dispatched to regain order.
