Knock
Synopsis
Doctor Knock, a former thug turned physician, arrives in the small village of Saint‑Maurice to profit from a specific method that convinces residents they are less healthy than they believe. By identifying imagined symptoms—or none at all—he seeks to practice medicine lucratively. After gaining the villagers’ confidence with his charming appearance and nearing the fulfillment of his scheme, his past catches up with him when an old acquaintance intervenes and disrupts his plans.
