Synopsis
*The Chosen One* is a film-within-a-film that parodies the martial arts genre. Writer and director Steve Oedekerk incorporates contemporary characters into a 1970s-style kung-fu movie, blending the old and new elements together. The protagonist, The Chosen One, embarks on a quest to avenge the deaths of his parents, who were killed by the kung-fu legend Master Pain. During his journey, he meets a variety of unusual characters.
