Synopsis
This is the story of two poor, hungry young people and their pursuit of social recognition in Italy during the early twentieth century. It is also the story of their shared passion for cycling and the adventurous events that bound them together forever. The two boys were named Costante Girardengo and Sante Pollastri. To the public, they were known as "Campionissimo" and "Bandito Numero 1."
