La promenade

On the day of his wedding, David finds himself confronted with an unexpected and perplexing request from his eighty-two-year-old father, Robert, who is both physically unwell and beginning to show signs of mental instability. Robert asks for his son's help in finding a woman, a request that David finds both strange and difficult to reconcile with the occasion. Initially evasive and reluctant, David hesitates, troubled by the thought of betraying his mother. He has always struggled to form the close, affectionate bond with his father that he had hoped for; could this unusual request be an opportunity to finally initiate the meaningful father-son dialogue that has long been absent? Accompanied by Robert, David takes a walk with him, and the two soon find themselves searching for a prostitute to fulfill the older man's desire.
