Synopsis
Chris Marker and François Reichenbach documented the large anti–Vietnam War protest that took place in Washington, D.C., on October 21, 1967. Over 100,000 demonstrators gathered at the Lincoln Memorial before marching toward the Pentagon. Filmed from within the crowd, the short film conveys the tension, idealism, and increasing radicalism of the American peace movement at the time.
