Synopsis
Laura Sebald lives in Berlin with her daughter Anna, where she runs a small goldsmith's shop. Since her fiancé died in an accident five years ago, she has avoided any male relationships, despite the efforts of her best friend Birgit. While visiting the grave of her late love in the days leading up to Christmas, Laura meets a mysterious old man who tells her a strange prophecy: all her wishes might come true if she writes a wish list to Santa Claus. The man then vanishes. Shortly after, Laura unexpectedly encounters Sebastian Dobel, owner of a coffee house chain and a chocolate factory in Salzburg, at Caf' Dobel. It is love at first sight for both of them. However, Laura faces strong competition in the form of the elegant Margot Degenschildt, who is also interested in the chocolate manufacturer.
