Le 84 prend des vacances

Gaston Bernod is a Parisian bus driver known for his honesty, integrity, and diligence, qualities that have earned him the respect of his superiors. He is particularly devoted to his work, going to great lengths to care for his bus, including installing a fuel-saving device of his own invention. His strong attachment to the vehicle may have caused him to overlook his wife, Paulette, who becomes increasingly drawn to Pierrot, a smooth-talking gigolo. Convinced by Pierrot to accompany him to Mont Saint-Michel, which he describes as "a wonderful nest for their burgeoning love," Paulette leaves Gaston behind. While driving his bus, number 84, Gaston spots their car and, realizing what has happened, becomes consumed with anger. He immediately begins a reckless pursuit, dragging his unsuspecting passengers into the chaotic chase.
