Le placard
Synopsis
François Pignon, an accountant working at a condom factory, learns he is about to be fired. Already dealing with personal difficulties, he decides to jump from a window but is stopped by his neighbor, who proposes an unusual idea to save his job: pretending to be homosexual. Assuming that in an era of political correctness, a gay man would not be fired, the neighbor convinces Pignon to go along with the plan while maintaining his shy and discreet nature. What changes is the way others perceive him. Pignon thus experiences an unexpected form of reintegration by coming out of a closet he had never entered.
