Synopsis
Charley Thompson, a teenager living with his single father, takes a summer job working for horse trainer Del Montgomery. He forms a bond with an aging racehorse named Lean on Pete but is shocked to discover the horse is destined for slaughter. As a result, Charley steals the animal, and the two set out on a journey across the modern American landscape.
