Not for human consumption

Synopsis

In recent years, there has been a significant shift in Britain's drug culture. Traditional illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin, and amphetamines are increasingly being replaced by a new generation of substances that are both cheaper and legally available. A growing market has emerged for drugs created by clandestine chemists specifically to circumvent existing drug laws. These new substances are often sold as research chemicals and come with labels stating "not for human consumption." The documentary *Legally High*, directed by triple BAFTA-award winner Dan Reed, explores this complex landscape of legal highs, where underground chemists develop new drugs at a pace that outstrips the government's ability to regulate them.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 3

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
