Les Lyonnais

Edmond Vidal, known as Momon, grew up in a poor gypsy camp and retained a strong sense of family, loyalty, and pride in his origins. He remained close to his childhood friend, Serge Suttel, with whom he first experienced prison life after being arrested for stealing cherries. The two eventually became involved in organized crime, forming the Ganf Des Lyonnais, a group that became the most notorious armed robbers of the early 1970s. Their rise came to an end in 1974 with a high-profile arrest. As he approaches 60, Momon has chosen to leave that life behind, finding peace in retirement and caring for his wife Janou, who endured much hardship in the past, as well as his children and grandchildren, who respect his simple, clear-headed, and kind nature. However, his past resurfaces when Serge Suttel, who has not renounced his criminal history, reenters his life.
