Les vacances de Clémence

In Saint-Nazaire in 1967, a city marked by workers' struggles, Clémence, 26, is married to Gérard, a young worker. Like many women of her generation, she does not have a job and is responsible for raising their two children. However, she feels a deep yearning for a different life, while Gérard equates family happiness with the possession of household appliances. Through training sessions in family planning led by an old friend, Agnès, Clémence meets Jérôme, a young philosophy teacher. Inspired by him, she leaves her husband and children to pursue a life of total freedom. Overcome by pain and distant from his wife's attempts to communicate, Gérard must come to terms with the profound changes that will soon sweep through society. Life will never return to what it was.
