Letter
Synopsis
A remote village in the Northwest of Russia features a mental asylum housed in an old wooden building. The location and its inhabitants appear untouched by modern civilization. In this isolated environment, articulate human speech is absent, and pain is subdued. The landscapes and structures are not so much occupied as they are gently intertwined with and traversed by their nameless residents, as if by a drifting mist. These figures seem neither fully present nor entirely dissolved in a spectral realm—perhaps remnants of a forgotten society.

Why a floor?
