Lieber Brad
Synopsis
In letters to her idol, Brad Pitt, twelve-year-old Tina Vonlanthen shares her thoughts on life in a small Swiss border town along the Rhine. She writes about her struggles with her older sister, twenty-year-old Babs, who "still hasn't found a man," and her concerns for her single father, Urs, who has been increasingly distracted. However, the Vonlanthens are not plagued by spinsterhood or Alzheimer's, but by secret love affairs: Babs is involved with her married German boss, while Urs is seeing Caroline, a black woman from Cameroon. At the local "fish dinner," the family's secrets are revealed, and Tina also experiences some intense moments she chooses not to mention in her letters to Brad.
