Lisbela and the Prisoner
Synopsis
Lisbela is a young woman with a passion for going to the movies. Leléu is a con man who travels from town to town, selling various items and performing as a master of ceremonies for lowbrow acts, such as a woman who is transformed into a gorilla. He becomes involved with Linaura, a beautiful and sexy woman who is the wife of the region's most feared hitman. When the hitman discovers his wife's affair, he begins pursuing Leléu, forcing him to flee quickly. In another town, Leléu meets Lisbela and falls instantly in love with her. She is engaged to Douglas, a hillbilly who tries to pass himself off as a cosmopolitan resident of Rio de Janeiro.
