Synopsis

An aging hero flips through a photo album, recalling the Gay 90s, particularly a picnic disrupted by the villainous Roger St. Clair, who attempts to lure Emily away from Harold by tempting her to the big city. When persuasion fails, he takes her by force. Six months later, Harold continues his search, while Emily is compelled to perform at Roger's bar, accompanied by a barbershop quartet in the song "All Is Not Gold That Glitters." Harold passes by and hears her singing. Roger attacks him with a curtain and ties Emily to the railroad tracks. Harold rescues her, leading to a dramatic sequence involving a sawmill, a shootout, and ultimately Harold's triumph. Returning to the present, they ponder what became of Roger, who then makes his entrance.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 10

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
