Synopsis
Based on Jane Austen’s novella, Lady Susan Vernon, a striking and shrewd woman, visits her in-laws’ estate to evade scandalous rumors about her romantic affairs and to secure husbands for herself and her daughter. Her schemes become complicated by the presence of two young men: the attractive Reginald DeCourcy and the affluent Sir James Martin.
