Magic Island
Synopsis
Jack Carlisle is a 13-year-old boy who feels disillusioned and neglected, as his mother is often away at work since his father left the family. Determined to run away because he believes his mother won't notice his absence, Jack prepares to leave. Just as he is about to go, his nanny convinces him to read a "magic book" before he leaves. The book tells the story of a pirate adventure on Magic Island. As Jack reads, he is mysteriously transported into the story's world, where he embarks on various adventures with Prince Morgan, while evading the villainous Blackbeard the Pirate. During his journey, Jack is rescued by Lily, a mermaid, and develops feelings for her.
