Manhood
Synopsis
"Manhood" is a story about an 11-year-old boy named Silas, who experiences a childhood unlike that of most children his age. He does not live in a safe and loving home. Silas resides with his mother, and there is no father figure present. This absence leads Silas to develop a distorted understanding of what it means to be a man. His mother is a prostitute who has clients at home at all hours. As a result, Silas is exposed to many things that a child his age should not see. The film follows Silas as he struggles to become a man and earn his mother's love and attention.
