Synopsis
Manuel Chaves Nogales (1897–1944) was a Spanish journalist known for covering major events in turbulent times. He reported from Spain during the 1936 civil war, as well as from Bolshevik Russia, Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, occupied Paris, and wartime London during World War II. His work involved traveling to the frontlines to observe and report, with the aim of countering tyranny in an era where taking a political stance was often necessary to avoid isolation. Despite the pressures of the time, Chaves Nogales maintained a consistent commitment to integrity throughout his career.
