Synopsis

Earl Molar, an employee at the Center for Inland Waters, is troubled by the recent and unexplained disappearance of fish from his local marina. As the annual "Around The Bay" sailing race approaches, Earl uncovers the cause: a deadly bull shark that has been introduced to the marina by a freighter. His personal life becomes further complicated by his affection for Oceana Anchor and the interference of newspaper reporter Lola Dent, who is looking into the financial affairs of Earl's father, Drip. Adding to the tension, Earl learns that Drip is relying on the race's prize money to settle his substantial debts. Now, Earl and Oceana must convince their parents, who are the feuding owners of two local yacht clubs, to heed their warnings about the now-hungry teenage bull shark and halt the race before it results in further attacks and potential fatalities.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 12

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
