With the Cold War behind them, former adversaries in the East and West now unite against a common threat: illegal, secretly armed terrorists, criminals, and resistance fighters. During one such joint operation, four soldiers are kidnapped, sparking what appears to be a major international crisis. High-ranking military officials in both the United States and Russia respond with alarm. A well-known cover-up is initiated in an attempt to manage the situation. However, the Marines refuse to stand by and make the decision to act independently, without official backing, to rescue their captured comrades. Unexpected assistance soon arrives, but whether it will be sufficient remains uncertain.
