Max Takes Tonics
Synopsis
Max visits a doctor who prescribes a tonic—Bordeaux of Cinchona—for him to drink every morning. Upon returning home, he notices a large glass left by his wife, labeled "Souvenir de Bordeaux." Assuming it to be his prescribed medicine, Max drinks its entirety. Almost immediately, he begins to feel much better. The story then follows Max as he goes about his day in a visibly inebriated state, leading to a series of comedic and chaotic events.
