Max, the Heartbreaker
Synopsis
The film follows Max, who is on holiday in Switzerland when he meets two young American girls. The two are friends, one is blonde and the other is brunette. Max falls in love with both and decides to confess his feelings first to the brunette and then to the blonde. When the girls realize the game Max is playing, they decide to play along. The story unfolds as a delicate comedy among the three characters, set entirely outdoors, likely around Lake Leman. It features strong direction and beautiful imagery. The two unknown actresses are also very charming. The film is considered one of Max Linder's best works.
