Synopsis
Allie is a teenager who has recently come out and is keeping her relationship with her girlfriend hidden from her Chinese American family. During the family’s observance of the Hungry Ghost Festival, Allie encounters the ghost of Maxine, a long-lost relative who was queer in life several decades earlier. Despite the time that separates them, Allie and Maxine discover they share similar experiences and emotions regarding the difficulty of feeling accepted, particularly within the context of their family's heritage.
