Medusa's Child

Fuming over the departure of his wife, Vivian, and the cutting of his research funding, the eccentric nuclear scientist Rogers Henry builds Medusa, a thermonuclear bomb capable of generating an electro-magnetic pulse large enough to destroy a computer-based society across an entire continent. He manipulates Vivian into delivering the bomb to the Pentagon to carry out his revenge against the government, rigging it to detonate prematurely during its countdown unless Vivian's pacemaker remains within fifteen feet of it. Medusa arms itself mid-flight aboard Scott Nash's 737 cargo plane, and with Hurricane Sigrid approaching the coast, no one is willing to allow the plane to land. The film is based on the novel by John J. Nance.
