Synopsis

Ravi Patel, a first-generation Indian-American, faces the challenge of finding love under specific cultural expectations. At 30, he decides to end his relationship with his American girlfriend, who is well-suited to him in most ways except for her non-Indian heritage and non-Patel surname. Traditionally, Patels in India typically marry within their community, and Ravi seeks a bride who is beautiful, intelligent, humorous, family-oriented, and kind—ideally raised in the U.S. but of Indian descent and also a Patel. To find her, he turns to his matchmaker mother for assistance, attends a convention of Patel-Americans, and travels to India during wedding season. The comedy explores universal questions about love, happiness, and how to find them, presented through a witty and heartfelt narrative.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 17

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
