Synopsis

Sophie is a successful publishing editor in her mid-30s who is content being single, though she secretly longs for a family of her own. She meets Fritz Mertens, a recently divorced dentist who is open to new relationships but insists they remain casual, as he is still adjusting to his new status. Fritz is also dealing with the complexities of sharing custody of his 12-year-old son, Vincent, who lives part-time with him and part-time with his mother in Munich. As Sophie and Fritz fall in love, they must confront the question of whether there is a future for a man with past commitments and a woman with her own dreams of happiness.
