Mermaids: The New Evidence

Runtime
42 min
Documentary

Synopsis

This follow-up broadcast presents new evidence that has emerged since the release of *The Body Found*, including video footage of possible mermaids in the Mediterranean, along the coast of Great Britain, and in the deep ocean. One piece of evidence suggests that P.T. Barnum had acquired an authentic living mermaid—distinct from his Fiji mermaid—but was unable to display it to the public. The final video features Danish marine geologists who recorded the creatures in the Greenland Sea in March 2013. In response to this footage, Greenland halts all oil drilling in its territories.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 11

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
