Synopsis
Cunning Stunts is a concert video by the heavy metal band Metallica, recorded live in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 9 and 10, 1997. It was released in both DVD and VHS formats. The DVD includes concert footage, band interviews, a documentary, behind-the-scenes material, and a photo gallery containing approximately 1,000 images. Three of the performances are presented from multiple camera angles. During the performance of "Enter Sandman," the stage is designed to appear as though it collapses and explodes, featuring pyrotechnics and a technician—referred to in the extras as the "Burning Dude"—who runs across the stage while on fire, while another technician swings overhead. This concert is also one of the few Metallica shows that did not include "Ecstasy of Gold" as an opening piece.
