Synopsis
Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan became close friends during their youth in Germany. Both had difficult upbringings—Rob came from a broken home, while Fabrice had left an abusive household—and they shared a common aspiration: to become famous superstars. Within a few years, their ambitions were realized. As the duo Milli Vanilli, they became the world's most popular pop act in 1990 and won the GRAMMY for Best New Artist. However, their rapid rise to fame came at a cost that ultimately led to their well-known downfall.
