Synopsis
In a quiet, peaceful clearing, the remnants of an abandoned picnic ignite a conflict between two ant tribes. A courageous young ladybug becomes entangled in the struggle. He forms a bond with Mandible, the leader of the black ants, and assists him in defending the anthill from the attack of the fierce red ant warriors, commanded by the intimidating Butor. The story unfolds as an extraordinary journey seen from the ground up.

Cinemas keep roughly half of every ticket sold, and a wide release’s marketing often costs about as much again as the film — so a movie needs to gross around 2.5× its production budget just to break even theatrically.
