Mit Burnout durch den Wald
Synopsis
Six very different individuals arrive at a remote hotel in Märkischen Schweiz for a "pioneering" burnout therapy retreat led by therapist Hannah, though none of them are entirely sure what the program entails. The retreat is designed to push them out of their comfort zones through unconventional challenges, differing from the usual stressors that led to their burnout. Johann Meininger, a workaholic restructuring consultant, was sent there under false pretenses by his PA, who convinced his boss to let him go due to his costly seniority. He finds unexpected tension and attraction with Silvia Rautenberg, a confident yet disorganized single mother of two who suffers from tinnitus. Alfred, an editing lecturer, is desperate after 500 failed job applications and dead-end jobs. Rosa, a young designer, is stuck in a cycle of short-term apprenticeships. Herbert, a newly retired pensioner, seeks adventure after four decades in patient care, though his wife Gudrun is wary of any risks. As the retreat unfolds, therapist Hannah begins to lose control of the situation.

How many hands made this film
The scale of the collaboration
Principal cast & crew: 18
These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.
Why a floor?
This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
