Synopsis
Due to a mix-up in names, hair artist Burkharda Meier is mistakenly hired as a singer aboard a luxury riverboat. Initially, her singing is no more appealing than a child's wailing, but after a few singing lessons, a series of romantic entanglements, and a couple of minor murders, she transforms into an audience favorite under the name Nancy Meyer.
