Synopsis
Funeral rituals for the traditional leader Moro Naba of the Mossi in Ougadougou, Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso) include ceremonies for the election of his successor and the preparation of a feast marking the end of the mourning period. These events take place in the palace and involve the people of Ougadougou and warriors in traditional dress.
