Synopsis
Vivica A. Fox and Shemar Moore reprise their roles in this sequel to *Motives*, which follows events three years after the original film. Emery Simms, an innocent man serving time for a crime he did not commit, continues to protest his wrongful incarceration, a claim more credible than most. Outside prison, Emery's ex-wife, portrayed by Fox, has married his best friend, and the two are trying to establish a stable life together. When Emery is killed in prison, his brother Donovan (Brian J. White) uncovers the truth behind his death and begins unraveling the complex web of lies and deceit that previously entangled Emery, putting himself in danger in the process.
